About

Spanish by birth. Finnish by choice.

I'm fifty years old, Spanish by birth, Finnish by circumstance. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

My journey took me from Madrid to Bilbao at twenty-eight, and then to Finland eighteen years ago. I never planned to stay this long, life had other ideas. I've been in IT since 1999, moving into leadership in 2004, and currently lead a team of sixty developers at Nordea.

Beyond the code and the meetings, I paint charcoal portraits and write about AI and communication, two crafts that teach the same lesson: clarity takes practice.

What I do

Software Leadership

Twenty-six years in technology have taught me that great systems are built by great people. I lead teams with intention, believing that clarity of thought and quality of conversation are just as critical as the code itself.

Communication & Ideas

I write about how we exchange ideas: in one-on-ones, in boardrooms, and on stages. Clear communication is a skill, not a talent. It can be built, one step at a time.

Portrait Art

I create charcoal portraits that explore the warmth and beauty I see in each person. Art, for me, is the practice of truly seeing. The same skill at the heart of good leadership and good communication.

A note on craft

Whether I'm leading a team, writing a page, or drawing a face, the discipline is the same: slow down, pay attention, and make something that means something.
